One of the purposes of Haddington House Trust is to partner in publishing academic material in print and/or electronic format which advances scholarly Christian literature and aids pastors, teachers and students internationally.

John Flood, ed. The Master’s Wife: The Book and the Place. Essays on Sir Andrew Macphail’s “Masterpiece”. Penumbra Press, 2013. One essay in this collection focuses upon William McPhail’s musical contributions on Prince Edward Island. This essay is by Jack and Nancy Whytock and entitled “Singing – Off the Wall”. McPhail was an elder, precentor and schoolmaster. His musical contributions are significant for the 19th century. The book can be ordered directly from Penumbra Press.
